About Grand Star Pro
We didn't start a freight company.
We started a way to run one.
Built by a Texas team who'd had enough of national-broker handoffs and unanswered dispatch lines. Anchored in Pearland, TX, accountable by design. Precision in Motion.
Our story
A freight company that runs trucking the way trucking should be run.
Grand Star Pro was founded in Texas in 2014 with a thesis that's almost quaint by industry standards: real dispatchers answer real phones, rates match invoices, and load planners stay with accounts long enough to actually learn the lanes.
A decade later, we still answer that phone. We just answer it for a much bigger network — six service lines, thirteen operating hubs, two cross-border desks, and a bonded warehouse footprint that gives us the operating reach of a regional carrier while keeping the responsiveness of a Texas-headquartered shop.
Most of our growth has come from accounts that started with a single trial load. They stayed because we did what we said. That's not a marketing claim — it's the only KPI that actually matters in this business.
Operating principles
The four things every shipper gets — regardless of mode, lane, or load count.
Anchored
We're not a national broker pretending to be local. We live and dispatch from the Texas Gulf Coast, with deep ties to regional shippers.
Accountable
Every account has a named load planner. There is no rotating queue, no ticket roulette — just one person who owns your lane.
Transparent
We invoice what we quote. Detention, accessorial, and re-class fees are documented and signed off — never surprises.
Long-haul
We optimize for the third year of a relationship, not the first quote. That means honest pricing and operating standards we can hold over time.
Timeline
A decade of disciplined growth.
We've added service lines and territory only when we could operate them to the same standard as the day we opened. No exceptions.
